Elvis Aaron Presley born on January 8,1935 also known as the King of Rock&Roll, he was one of the most popular artist of the 20th century. Elvis was born in Tupelo,Mississippi but moved to Memphis, Tennessee with his family at the age of 13. His career began in 1954 with Sun Records. His number 1 hit "Heartbreak Hotel" was released in January 1956. His inspiring and numerous top chart songs made him very popular. In 1956 Elvis made his film debut in Love Me Tender. Songs such as "I Can't Stop Loving You", "The Wonder Of You","I Just Can't Help Believin'","Always On My Mind","What Now My Love","Can't Help Falling In Love","There Goes My Everything","It's Now Or Never","Are You Lonesome Tonight","As Long As I Have You","You Don't Know Me","Loving You","Unchanined Melody","I'll Remember You","For The Good Times","And I Love You So","You Don't Have To Say You Love Me","Just Pretend","Love Me","Until It's Time For You To Go","Mary In The Morning","I Want You, I Need You,I Love You"made top in charts.
After seven years away from the stage in 1968 he returned to live performance in a comeback celebration special. Elvis was addicted to prescribed pills, the abuse had an effecy on him and he suddenly died in 1977 at the age of 42. Presley was nominated for 14 competitive Grammy's, he recieved the lifetime grammy award at age 36. Throughout all his success he is the best solo selling artis in the history of popular music and has been inducted into four music hall of fame.
